My Own Music Therapy: Alto and Tenor Only

I am so thankful for my practice time!  Morning Glory has been interested in learning "Angel's We Have Heard on High" and so as I sat down to play the piano, I began with that song too.  Christmas songs in August? Yes!  It is so relaxing and inspiring all at once. 

I kept playing well past my practice time as I found myself playing well known Christmas hymns in a different way: playing  a tenor and alto duet.  The stress and tension from a wonderful, but busy, day just seemed to ease right out of me and into the attention required to play those parts without the familiar melody to accompany them.  My ears exulted in the beautiful "new" sounds that resulted and it became harder and harder to stop playing.

 I breathe a sigh of relief just thinking about it. . .
